The first house Paris Jackson ever bought was an estate in the mountainous wilderness of Topanga Canyon, an unincorporated Los Angeles community in the rugged hills between Malibu and the San Fernando Valley. Multiple reports claimed the Topanga pad functioned as a “hippie commune” with Jackson sharing the five-bedroom residence with live-in friends.

But all things must come to an end. She was still a teenager when she bought that first house, but Jackson is now 24 — and newly all grown up and a budding singer, actress and Skims underwear model. Records show the L.A. native has sold the Topanga home and moved to the Hollywood Hills, much closer to the bright lights of Tinseltown, paying nearly $4 million for a woodsy cabin with plenty of Hollywood stardust in its DNA.

Once owned by Rock Hudson, the house later came into the hands of Canadian songstress K.D. Lang, who sold the property in 2012 to Maroon 5 keyboardist Jesse Carmichael. It was Carmichael who recently put the property up for sale at $4 million, and who subsequently sold the place to Jackson for about $3.8 million.

Invisible behind walls and gates, the cabin-style house packs three bedrooms and two full baths into about 3,000 square feet of living space. There’s also a detached garage that either Lang or Carmichael converted into a music studio during their ownership, and a petite art studio elsewhere on the premises.

Though interior photos are nonexistent, the two-level home’s main floor reportedly includes a movie theater, a kitchen with redwood cabinets and heated slate floors, two guest bedrooms, and a two-way stone fireplace that warms both the living and dining rooms. A wall of French doors opens to a wooden deck with tranquil views over the canyon below.

Unconventionally, the home’s entire lower level is dedicated solely to the primary bedroom suite, which is packed with amenities — a fireplace, sitting area, bespoke dressing room and closet, and a renovated bathroom with dual vanities and a soaking tub. Outside, the forested grounds keep a shady eye on a freeform saltwater pool and spa, plus a freestanding sauna and romantic gardens linked by meandering pathways.
